Let’s Battle With Bob!

In November, our friend, Bob Adcroft was diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndromes (MDSEB2), which is a rare blood cancer. He is currently being treated both locally and at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, where he is undergoing chemotherapy treatment. He is expected to have a bone marrow transplant some time in March. By the grace of God, three out of his eight siblings were matches and one of them will be his bone marrow donor.

God willing, the transplant will be a success and he’ll be hospitalized at Sloan for 30 days, followed up with 100 days of daily, weekly and finally monthly visits back to Memorial Sloan Kettering in NY. It takes the immune system 12-18 months to recover from the transplant. Financial support will be needed to defray the costs of hospitalization, medications, and other necessities.

Bob is currently employed as a Senior Account Executive at Entercom Communications and recently celebrated 38 years of marriage to his high school sweetheart, and best friend, Bernadette. They have 6 beautiful children together and just welcomed their 6th grandchild last summer.

Together We Can Help

His trust in God and his faith and family based life have kept him optimistic despite his daily trials. In fact, if you’ve spoken to him, you’ve probably noticed his ability to turn a conversation about cancer into an opportunity to make you smile. It’s his gift. Now’s our time to give him one in return.

Please join us as we help Bob and his family battle this disease!
